For Maeve, the most exciting part of a river trip happens before she even gets to the river. She loves the pre-trip meeting! Big rapids are exciting and camping in spectacular canyons is cool and seeing an Osprey dive down and catch a fish right in front of you is, well, ok: amazing. But meeting new people? That’s an adventure. Getting to know them? That’s thrilling. She’s one of those people who meets you for the first time and never forgets your first name (and always remembers how you take your coffee). She’s currently studying Geology (and meeting people) at the University of Puget Sound and eventually she’s headed to Latin America to practice her Spanish (and meet some more).
