Where are you from?
Ogden, Utah! Ogden gets a lot of hate like people saying its trashy but honestly that is where personality is born. And started my love for being outside!
What’s your spirit animal, and why?
I would love to be a duck. They play, run the rivers, fly to the warmth, and just have it figureed it out it seems! I just would like to get rid of one thing. Their mating rituals.
Pro River Guide Tip:
Buy the thickest paco pad if you want it. You deserve it! You deserve to sleep like a little baby along the river! You deserve the best gosh darn it! And even though its thick and kinda embarrassing you won't be laughing when you go to rest at night!
If you could take one person - real/fictional - alive or dead down the river, who would it be and why?
I would take Ellen Meloy who was a author who loved Utah canyons. She has passed away and in her time explored these rivers and really learned about them! I would love to row her down and hear her stories! Or Buckskin Bill who lived a life of adventure along the Salmon River!
What is your favorite book & movie?
Favorite book: Educated by Tara Westover - I enjoy it because it gives me perpesctive on a way of life I don't understand in some ways or a way of closure in a life I am all to familar with. Favorite movie- Johnny Lingo - because its insanely nostalgic.
