What is your Hometown?
I hail from Seattle, Washington! A super cool city, mostly due to its proximity to so much wilderness.
What is the most Iconic river location that you can find on an ARTA trip & Why?
The top of the Wagon Wheel hike on the Yampa. A beautiful and challenging hike that ends with a stunning panoramic view of the river. You can see for miles as the river does a giant bend and all of the boats tied up below look like ants.

What is your favorite book/movie and why?
The Lord of the Rings! (The books and the movies) I love fantasy and Tolkien is the master at creating a world that swallows you up and sweeps you along for an epic ride.
How long have you been running around outside?
My whole life! I grew up in the North Cascade Mountains hiking and backpacking.
Why do you guide for ARTA?
ARTA attracts the most interesting and engaging people, both as guests and guides, that keeps me coming back year after year.
Whats that little something special that you bring to a river trip?
I'm a great listener, despite being hard of hearing.
