11 Things You Should Bring on a River Trip

IDAHO - Famous rivers, well-known potatoes...

Selway RiverIf it weren’t for potatoes, Idaho would be known as the whitewater state; it is home to more miles of whitewater than any other state in the Lower 48.

We are the only outfitter licensed to offer whitewater river rafting trips on the triple crown of Idaho rivers:

The Middle Fork of the Salmon,
The Main Salmon and
The Selway.

While all three rivers are renowned for their wilderness setting and spectacular scenery, each trip is different.

Main Salmon River trips are gentle, warm and relaxing with fun, but not daunting whitewater; great for families (kids as young as 6 in August).

Rafting trips on the Middle Fork Salmon River feature clear water, great fishing, hot springs and lots of rapids, some easy, some not so easy.

Selway River trips offer a chance to float through a very remote and rarely visited canyon and to experience some of the most challenging whitewater in the west. Only one group, with a maximum of 16 people including guides, is allowed to launch each day.

Together, you could spend 17 days in the wilderness and float over 230 miles of river and never see the same inch twice.
