LAUREN RUSSELL
Lauren grew up in Chicago and her midwestern values are driving her to find a year-round career and put her degree in Communication to work. At the same time, her California education (Santa Clara University), and the west coast influence, (she has guided for us in California and Oregon for the past four summers), are telling her to take her time, guide a few more seasons, and, I don't know, maybe travel. Another productive life sidetracked by the allure of the seasonal river guide. It will be hard to keep her out of the workforce because she is eminently qualified, (photographer for the student magazine, fluent in French, captain of the lacrosse team, etc.); but we're confident she'll be back for at least one more season; (we're listed as a reference on her resume!).
