It is an oxymoron: River Guide 401(k), but Kevin has some advantages: a degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, a CPA license, seven years of experience in corporate tax planning and preparation, an efficient lifestyle (i.e. one pair of shorts) and no mechanic's bills (he does his own repairs - and sometimes ARTA's). He put it all on hold for the glamour and income of a seasonal river guide. As a consequence, he happily takes advantage of free things - like gravity - and splurges on skis, kayaks and surfboards. He is a financial inspiration to his fellow river guides and a lifestyle inspiration to his fellow accountants.
