AARON FRANCK
When he showed up to do his first Assistant Guide trip after attending our 1996 Oregon Whitewater School, someone referred to Aaron as "the kid"; as in "Who's the kid sitting on the porch over there?" Well, after 9 years and over 3,000 river miles later, he's still "the kid", only now it's "That's The Kid lying on the porch over there." While the kid has gotten older, he has resisted growing up - his jaw still drops, his eyes still twinkle, his wonder still shows. There have been mature accomplishments along the way, including five years of "just one more semester" at Humboldt State, but, really, what's the hurry?
